Job Description

• Work in a 36-bed Renal Unit caring for patients with kidney-related conditions, including acute or chronic kidney disease and renal replacement therapy.
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:6
• Specialize in post-hemodialysis and ongoing peritoneal dialysis care.
• Collaborate closely with nephrologists, family practice providers, and hospitalists.
• Support patients throughout their diagnosis, treatment, and recovery journey.
• Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals.
• Work schedule: 36 or 48 hours per week, including holidays as required and every other weekend.

Requirements

Education & Licenses

• Associate Degree in Nursing required.
• Registered Nurse license for the State of Alabama or Compact license (no temporary licenses accepted).
• NURSYS verification required.

Certifications

• AHA BLS or Red Cross certification required.

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required; however, candidates with 18 months of experience under the highest level of professional license will be considered.
• Must have at least 1 year of recent experience in the specialty (Med Surg Telemetry / Renal).
• Prior travel experience is NOT explicitly required.

• Patient-facing clinical role.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks (approximately 3 months).
