Position Summary
Seeking a Pediatric Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for night shifts (3x12 hours, 1830-0700) in a pediatric respiratory unit. The role involves providing respiratory care to pediatric and neonatal patients in a hospital setting.
Requirements
- Specialty: Pediatric Respiratory Therapy
- Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years in Pediatric/Neonatal Respiratory Therapy
- Licensure: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license required in the state of Missouri
- Certifications:
- BLS (American Heart Association)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required

- Shift: Nights, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (1830-0700)
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed

Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe and effective respiratory care to pediatric and neonatal patients
- Assist physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic interventions
- Perform technical respiratory therapy skills and interventions
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation
- Educate patients and caregivers on respiratory care needs
- Participate in physician rounds and interdisciplinary communication
- Follow all safety, infection control, and hospital policies
- Demonstrate clinical reasoning, decision-making, and time management skills
- Maintain and manage respiratory equipment and supplies
Education
- Graduate from an accredited Respiratory Care program
- Registered as a Respiratory Therapist by the National Board for Respiratory Care (RRT)
Additional Information
- Flu vaccination or approved exemption required from November 1 to April 1 (declinations not accepted)
- Dress code: Black scrubs only
