Job Opportunity: LPN/LVN - Rehab (Travel)
Location: Madison, Wisconsin
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Overview
Seeking an experienced LPN/LVN for a travel assignment in an acute inpatient rehabilitation setting. The facility specializes in rehabilitation for patients with stroke, brain and spinal cord injuries, amputations, complex orthopedic injuries, and other conditions requiring inpatient rehab services.
Required Qualifications
- License: LPN/LVN license required
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in Med Surg or Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF) experience (whichever is higher)
- Prior Travel Experience: 1 year of travel experience required
- Technical Skills: Minimum 13 weeks EPIC experience required
- Certifications: BLS required
- Additional Requirements:
- Must have inpatient rehab or Med Surg experience (skilled nursing experience alone is not accepted unless accompanied by 2 years of IRF or Med Surg)
- No float requirements
- No call requirements
Work Details
- Shift: 12-hour shifts
- Weekend Hours: Every other weekend for travel staff
- Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:7
- Patient Population: Adults requiring acute inpatient rehabilitation
- Common Diagnoses/Treatments:
- Hypertension
- Blood glucose monitoring and insulin protocols
- Feeding tube care, swallowing precautions, thickened liquids
- Foley catheter care
- Care of ports, PICC lines, starting IVs
- CVA (stroke), Parkinson’s disease, post-craniotomy care
- Spinal injury, brain injury, joint replacement
- Supplemental oxygen delivery, isolation precautions
- Ulcer and wound care
- Preferred Experience: Trauma care

Additional Notes
- Completion bonus available for full 13-week contract with satisfactory attendance

This role is ideal for LPN/LVN healthcare professionals with solid inpatient rehab or Med Surg experience, prior travel experience, and proficiency with EPIC electronic health records.
