Job Opportunity: RN - Psychiatry (Travel)

Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico
Shift: Nights, 7 PM - 7 AM
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides clinical care tailored to the patient population on assigned units. The RN coordinates and implements patient care, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency consistent with unit standards. The role requires professionalism, respect, and effective communication with staff, physicians, patients, and families.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New Mexico
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 1 year of psychiatric nursing experience within the last year
• Behavioral Health experience
• BLS Certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
• CPI certification or equivalent

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Exposure to bloodborne pathogens and infectious diseases
• Work performed in a clean, well-lit, ventilated, smoke-free environment
• Ability to handle emergency/crisis situations
• Requires prolonged standing and walking, heavy physical effort for patient positioning and equipment handling
• Physical abilities include reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, good peripheral vision, color distinction, normal or correctable hearing and vision, manual dexterity, and fine motor coordination
