Position Details

Unit Information
- Unit: CDU (Cardiac Diagnostic Unit), Main Hospital, 1st Floor adjacent to Same Day Surgery
- Number of Beds: 10
- Patient Ratios: 5:1
- Staffing: 2 RNs, 1 Patient Care Technician (PCT)
- Equipment: Telemetry
- Documentation System: Meditech
- Scheduling: Every other weekend, 12-hour shifts
- Floating Policy: May float to other like units or Emergency Department for telemetry holds
- Patient Experience: Bedside shift reports and hourly safety rounding
- Uniform: Navy Blue
Required Certifications and Licenses
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NIH Certification
- Registered Nurse License
Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an RN in the specialty
Skills and Procedures
- Must pass hospital telemetry test
- Advanced skills in general medical/surgical telemetry procedures
- Able to draw labs
Additional Information
- This is a brand new unit providing 24/7 telemetry monitoring for patients
- Emphasis on teamwork and patient safety with hourly rounding and bedside reporting
