Job Description

• Provide direct, individualized nursing care based on scientific nursing principles.
• Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
• Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medications (oral, subcutaneous, IV).
• Report adverse reactions to medications or treatments per policy.
• Educate patients on surgical procedures and post-treatment home care needs.
• Record patients’ medical information and vital signs.
• Monitor and adjust specialized patient equipment; interpret and record electronic displays.
• Initiate corrective actions for adverse symptoms.
• Provide bedside care for a variety of medical patients, including pre- and post-surgery.
• Change dressings, insert catheters, start IVs.
• Assist physicians during examinations and treatments.
• Respond to life-saving situations following nursing standards and protocols.
• Participate in discharge planning.
• Utilize time management skills and maintain accurate, timely documentation.

Requirements

• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS (American Heart Association)
• Licensure: Wyoming RN license or multi-state RN license
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in Med/Surg nursing
• Contract Length: 13 weeks

Additional Notes

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
• Experience with community hospital settings may be relevant.
• EMR experience and other certifications may be requested during submission.

This position is a travel contract role for a Med/Surg RN with a 13-week assignment in Wyoming.
