Job Opportunity: Echo Tech (Travel)

Location: Riverside, California

Position Overview

• Must be able to perform pediatric echoes (0-12 months)
• Employment Type: Travel assignment
• Contract Length: 2 months

Unit Information

• Unit: Echocardiography
• Number of Beds: 542
• Number of Staff: 11
• Shift: Day Shift (07:00 - 17:30), no night shift
• Patient Ratio: 1 echo per working hour
• Equipment: GE E90, E95, and S70N
• EMR System: Meditech
• PACS: Centricity Cardio Workflow (CCW)

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Echo Tech (highest required years of experience)
• Must be able to perform pediatric echoes on infants 0-12 months old
• Certifications required:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • Registered Cardiac Sonography (RCS) and/or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS)

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Pediatric Echocardiographer (PE)

Typical Procedures Performed

• 2D transthoracic echocardiograms
• 2D/3D transesophageal echocardiograms
• Dobutamine stress test
• Pediatric echocardiograms
