Neuro Critical Care RN
Overview
- Travel RN position in Neuro Critical Care
- Specialty: Neurosurgical and Neurological Intensive Care
- 2 openings
- Nights
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Every other weekend commitment, Friday/Saturday nights
- Floating required to other inpatient areas when the home unit is low census
- 10-bed unit
- Patient ratios: 1:1, 1:2, 1:3
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Indiana
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Neuro ICU (2 years of experience)
- Neuro ICU experience within the last year
- ACLS
- BLS
- Experience with ventilator management
- Experience with neuro monitoring
Preferred Qualifications
- Pupillometer
- EVD
- ICP waveform management
- CRRT
Unit Details
- Patients include ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, post op craniotomy, seizures, encephalopathy, and neurologic tumors
- Equipment includes Alaris Pumps, Arctic Sun, Prismax, EV 1000, and Neuroptics Pupillometer
Additional Information
- Scrub color: Navy
- Unacceptable attire: Hoodies
- Orientation includes modules completed on the first day, Epic training if needed, and one day of orientation in the unit
