Unit: Trauma/Ortho/Med-Surg
7A, Main Tower
36 beds
36 patients
36 hours per week
Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

Valid LPN / LVN license in Louisiana
Telemetry (1 year of experience)
Telemetry experience within the last year
ACLS
BLS
IV Therapy Certificate
Med Surg experience

Preferred

Prioritization skills
Time management skills

Unit Details

Nurse-to-patient ratio: 6:1
Staffed with RNs, LPNs, PCTs, and a secretary
Typical equipment includes IV pumps, wound vacs, SCD pumps, Kangaroo Pumps, chest tubes, telemetry, PCA pumps, Bipaps, and epidurals
Typical procedures include wound vac changes, wound care, IV insertions, and insertion of indwelling Foley catheters
