Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer

Overview

Travel position in Santa Fe, New Mexico
Full-time
Start: ASAP
Shift: 2 graveyard shifts Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 7p-730a for 36 hours
Weekend requirement: Yes
On-call requirement: Yes
Floating requirement: Yes
Blocked scheduling accommodated: No
Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited ultrasound technology program or equivalent
Valid Ultrasound Technologist license in New Mexico
Ultrasound Technologist experience within the last year
Ultrasound Technologist (1 year of experience)
BLS issued by American Heart Association
ARRT (S) or ARDMS (AB) or ARDMS (OB/GYN)

Preferred Qualifications

One of the following, along with the required credential:
- Vascular Sonography (VS) by ARRT
- Breast Sonography (BS) by ARRT
- Breast (BR) RDMS by ARDMS
- Adult Echocardiography (AE) RDCS by ARDMS
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) by ARDMS

Role Summary

Performs routine and advanced ultrasound imaging procedures
Supports other imaging technologists as needed
Helps maintain patient flow
Handles movement, setup, and operation of ultrasound equipment
Troubleshoots basic maintenance issues
Participates in QA
Resolves image processing and image archiving system issues
Scans and stores completed exams in PACS
Follows PACS downtime procedures as a PACS Superuser
Escalates PACS issues when needed
Reports equipment malfunctions and follows up as appropriate
May work other shifts and at other campuses as needed
