Registered Nurse - Med Surg (Travel)

Location

  • Springfield, Tennessee

Job Type

  • Travel assignment

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Unit Information

  • Unit: Medical-Surgical (MS2 & MS3)
  • Number of beds: 27 per floor
  • Patient ratio: 5:1
  • Staffing: Unit secretaries during dayshift; techs available on all shifts
  • Floating: Required to float between MS2 and MS3 units
  • Equipment: Computer on Wheels, Pyxis, Welch Allen vital sign machines
  • Documentation system: Meditech Expanse
  • Schedule: 3 days per week with every other weekend
  • Dress code: Dark blue uniform

Patient Population & Care

  • Basic Medical-Surgical patients
  • Post-operative patients, especially orthopedic cases
  • Procedures: Blood transfusions, IV and central line maintenance

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Tennessee
  • Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience, including experience within the last year
  • BLS certification
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Hours

  • 36 hours per week
