Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery

Weekend Hours: Every other weekend / as needed

Unit & Patient Population

• Unit: Labor & Delivery
• Patient Population: All ages
• EHR Systems: MedHost, Centricity Perinatal
• Float Requirements: Must be willing to float to Postpartum as needed

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Required Certifications prior to start:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • AWHONN (Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • HWC (Health Worker Certification)
• Must be checked against the Tennessee Abuse Registry prior to assignment start

Skills & Experience

• Must have experience and confidence to work independently in Labor & Delivery
• Professional and team-oriented personality fit

Additional Information

• Orientation occurs bi-weekly on Mondays
• Dress code: Any scrub color allowed; no camouflage or non-facility logo apparel permitted
• Facility includes emergency, inpatient, and outpatient services with a skilled nursing and long-term care campus nearby

Note: Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel staff.
