Interim Leader - Behavioral Health

Location: Pasco, Washington
Employment Type: Interim Leader
Contract Length: 12 weeks

Job Overview

Serving as Director of Nursing for a Behavioral Health inpatient unit and transitions unit.
Inpatient unit average census: 9-10 patients (capacity 18).
Transitions unit average census: 5-6 patients (capacity 16).
Facility includes 18 inpatient beds and 16 transition beds.
Regulatory visits upcoming: Department of Health (DOH) visits in 2026 and Joint Commission in 2028.
Unit uses Meditech EHR and Omnicell equipment.
Staff includes 42 inpatient FTEs, 16 transition FTEs, and additional outpatient and PACT RNs.
Position is non-union despite unit employees being unionized.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State.
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN).
Minimum of 3 years of Behavioral Health nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Washington Suicide Prevention certification.

Key Responsibilities & Objectives

Lead nursing operations for behavioral health inpatient and transition units.
Oversee treatment plan compliance and regulatory readiness.
Support staff engagement and patient satisfaction initiatives.

Work Schedule

Full-time, 40 hours per week.
Orientation dates available in January and February 2026.

Additional Notes

Position is interim due to previous Director of Nursing stepping down.
Reports to senior nursing leadership with dotted line to Chief Nursing Officer.
