Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Night shift), rotating weekends
Hours per Week: 36

Unit Overview
- Unit Type: Labor and Delivery / OB Emergency Department
- Number of Beds: 32
- Number of Staff: 150
- Patient Ratios: 1:2 (1 nurse per 1-2 patients)
- Staffing:
- Day Shift: 1 charge nurse, 1 co-charge nurse, RNs for 1:1 or 1:2 ratio
- Night Shift: 1 charge nurse, 1 co-charge nurse, RNs for 1:1 or 1:2 ratio
- Equipment Used: Novii, JADA, Fetal Pillow, IUPC, FSE, Toco
- Electronic Medical Record: Meditech
Typical Procedures
- Spontaneous Vaginal Delivery (SVD)
- Cerclages
- Cesarean Sections (C-Sections)
- Trial of Labor After Cesarean (TOLAC)
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) certification
- STABLE certification
Work Environment and Culture
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude valued
- Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs required; navy blue T-shirts not allowed; solid blue, black, or grey sweatshirts permitted
- No call requirements
- Alternating weekends off
