Unit Information

• Unit: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CV OR)
• Floor: 1st floor, Main Building
• Number of beds: 2 rooms
• Staffing: Typically 1 RN and 1 Tech on day shift; 2 RNs and 1 tech on call
• Patient ratio: 1:1
• Call requirements: On-call split and dependent on staffing
• Documentation system: Meditech
• Dress code: OR scrubs provided by the unit

• ENT (Ear, Nose, Throat)
• Orthopedics
• Spine
• Urology
• Vascular
• Podiatry
• Thoracic Surgery
• Plastic Surgery

Additional Preferences

• Ability to function in all surgical specialties except Cardiovascular OR (CVOR)
• Experience with robotics, orthopedics, spine, and gynecology surgeries preferred
• Proficient charting skills
• Strong multitasking and critical thinking abilities
• Excellent bedside manner

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Technologist, including experience within the last year
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Completion of an assessment for Surgical Technologists or demonstrated understanding of the risks associated with USP 800 Hazardous Drugs
