Job Overview

• Travel assignment in Springfield, Missouri
• Night shift: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
• 36 or 48 guaranteed hours per week
• 13-week assignment
• Auto-offer position

Required Qualifications

• Valid LPN / LVN license in Missouri
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• IV Certification
• Experience in a(n) Acute Care setting
• Telemetry (1 year of experience)
• Telemetry experience within the last year
• Med Surg experience
• Driver's License
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption required from November 1 to April 1; declinations are not accepted

Schedule and Work Expectations

• Weekend coverage as required by the facility
• May float on a rotational basis
• RTO must be made up later in the assignment
• RTO is not approved in the first week
• Holiday RTO: one request per assignment
• Night shift orientation occurs on day shift and requires availability for the entire week
• Block scheduling may be approved based on facility requirements

Unit Details

• Medical/surgical telemetry unit
• 32 beds
• Patient mix includes medical, med tele, and respiratory patients
• Ratios vary and are not guaranteed

Work Environment

• Uses the nursing process to provide direct patient care across all age groups
• High exposure risk to blood and body fluids
• Physical demands include standing and walking most of the shift, bending, stooping, lifting and turning patients with assistance, and pushing/pulling/gripping up to 50 lbs

Dress Code

• Black scrubs required
