Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in North Carolina
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
• ACLS
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Vent/trach experience
• Knowledge of central lines

Experience / Skills

• Ventilator and tracheostomy experience
• Knowledge of central lines
• Wound care experience is preferred

Work Expectations

• May need to float to a lower-acuity unit depending on facility census

Role Focus

• Provides critical care for patients with severe medical conditions, including cardiac, neurologic, respiratory, and trauma-related needs
• Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, wound care, advanced life support, ventilator management, medication and fluid administration, suctioning, and support for patients and families
