Registered Nurse - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

Location: Atlanta, Georgia
Shift: Weekend Block Days (Saturday, Sunday + 1 weekday shift)
Hours per Week: 36
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Provide nursing care in a Level IV/surgical NICU setting.
  • Open to floating to other units as needed.
  • Must work at least one holiday if it falls during the contract.
  • Common patient diagnoses include:
    • Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH)
    • Meconium Aspiration Syndrome (MAS)
    • Necrotizing Enterocolitis (NEC)
    • Tracheoesophageal Fistula/Esophageal Atresia (TEF/EA)
    • Abdominal wall defects
    • Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia (BPD)
    • Pulmonary hypertension
    • Preoperative, perioperative, and postoperative care

Required Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse license appropriate for Georgia.
  • Level IV/surgical NICU experience required.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification preferred.
  • Must be nicotine-free; drug screen and testing required with no exceptions.
  • Mandatory flu vaccine required; no religious or medical exemptions accepted during flu season.

Additional Information

  • This is a nicotine-free facility.
  • Weekend block schedule includes Saturday, Sunday, plus one weekday shift.
