Overview

• OB RN assignment in Huntington, Indiana
• 13-week contract
• Nights, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• BLS (AHA only)
• NRP
• Minimum 3 years previous experience
• 3-5 years minimum OB experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Intermediate Fetal Heart monitor cert AWHONN

Schedule

• Weekends are required
• Filling open shifts on the schedule, not on the call schedule
• Two nurses are required to be in the facility at all times; the employee will not work alone

Unit Details

• Care of patients and families during labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum phases of childbirth, as well as newborn care
• 6 LDRP beds
• 3 postpartum beds
• Staffing follows Indiana Perinatal Standards

Orientation

• Jump start training/orientation program provided
• Department-specific training is based on the nurse’s experience level and expertise
• Mandatory attendance is required for all 7 days of orientation

Additional Notes

• Floating to other units/departments is not expected
• Hospital-issued scrubs are expected dress code
• Epic electronic medical record, Electronic Fetal Monitoring, Fetal Warmers, and Pyxis are used in the unit
