Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Morgantown, West Virginia
Contract Length: 6 weeks

Job Description

• Work in a "2W" day surgery center inside the hospital with smaller room sizes, influencing the types of cases handled.
• Cases include:

  • ENT (Tonsillectomies & Adenoidectomies, endoscopic sinus surgery, tympanomastoidectomies)
  • Orthopedics (Sports Medicine, Hand, Podiatry, Total Knees)
  • Ophthalmology (Cornea, Retina, Muscles)
  • Gynecology (laparoscopic cases, hysteroscopies, D&Cs)
  • Urology (cystoscopies, vasectomies, prostate biopsies)
• No robotics cases; minimal ophthalmology plastic cases (about 1 Friday per month).
• Fast-paced environment with quick turnover.
• Outpatient cases are done on 2W; strong ambulatory experience is beneficial.
• 10 OR suites on 2 West.
• Average 80-120 cases per day.
• Facility is a Level I Trauma Center with 24/7 Poly Trauma response.
• Typical schedule: Monday through Friday, closed nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Orientation offered every two weeks.
• Typical call shifts: 1-2 per week.
• Scrubs provided for OR.

Required Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license for West Virginia.
• BLS Certification.

Additional Information

• Drivers license address must be outside 50 miles from the facility.
• Previous permanent candidates must have been gone for 2 years before reapplying.
• Previous travelers who worked for 1 full year must be gone for 2 years before reapplying.
• Individual unit requirements apply.
• Travel teams must be submitted together.
