Job Opportunity: Surgical Tech

Location: Sioux Falls, South Dakota
Contract Length: 13 weeks (travel assignment)
Start Date: ASAP

Job Description

Position involves working as a Cardiovascular Surgical Tech.
Scrubbing for heart and endovascular surgical cases.
May need to float to Main Operating Rooms if case volume fluctuates.
Unit includes 5 Cardiovascular ORs and 30 Main ORs.
Schedule rotates every 4 weeks with:
- 3-4 call shifts on weekdays per 4-week schedule
- Weekend shifts required every 4th weekend
- 10-hour shifts primarily starting between 6:00-6:30 AM
- Some flex or late start shifts at 8:30 or 10:30 AM
Scrubs provided (Ceil Blue).
Badge in/out required at the facility.
Team-specific orientation and training provided, with support from advanced techs.
Equipment training provided as needed.

Required Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of cardiovascular surgical tech experience preferred.
Certified tech preferred but not mandatory based on experience.
BLS certification required.

Additional Information

Local placements within an 80-mile radius.
Some call required with guaranteed hours.

Very traveler friendly. As a traveler CST with 16 years of experience, I loved knowing that the longer I stayed at this facility, the more I could learn. I look forward to returning after the snow has finished falling from the sky.

Cons

Parking at the facility can be a pain if you have a late start. In other words, anything after 6:30am.
