Job Opportunity: Perioperative Care - First St Surgery Center

Location: Boise, Idaho
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Experience Requirements

Minimum 1 year of preoperative experience in outpatient or inpatient settings
Prior travel experience is not explicitly required

Unit Details

26 Preop Bays
6 Operating Rooms (ORs)
20 Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Bays
Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:1-2
Charge nurse coverage: 1 charge nurse over preop/PACU
CNAs assist with patient rooming, CHG baths, vitals, 12-leads, blood draws, room setup for nerve blocks, cleaning bays, and bed transformations

Duties & Responsibilities

Assist with nerve blocks and spinal procedures (training provided)
May float to PACU or other locations including Nampa, Meridian, and Boise campuses
Travelers are typically first to float

Scheduling & Shifts

Shift times: 5:30 AM - 4:30 PM, 4-10 hour shifts
Random day off per week
Travelers must be flexible to fill gaps in permanent staff coverage
No guaranteed block scheduling, but schedules provided 4 weeks in advance
No weekend, holiday, or call requirements

Orientation & Training

2 days general orientation
1-3 days preceptor training
Option to test out of Epic EMR class
EMR system: Epic

Dress Code

Scrubs of any color
No artificial nails (must be removed if present)
Long-sleeve shirt allowed under scrub top, no jackets

Days Monday-Thursday, hours vary depending on preop or postop shift
Must be able to float to similar departments as needed
