Job Description

A hospital in Northern Wyoming is seeking experienced Radiologic Technologists for their Radiology Department. This position offers an opportunity to work with advanced imaging equipment including Cannon CT, GE X-Ray, and Portable Fuji X-Ray machines. The role involves patient care, imaging procedures, and maintaining quality improvement projects.

Requirements

• Certified Radiologic Technologist (ARRT - R)
• BLS Certification (AHA CPR/BLS)
• Wyoming State License (takes approximately 2 weeks to obtain)
• Experience with CT and X-Ray imaging modalities
• Ability to perform special radiographic examinations (e.g., intravenous pyelograms, mammograms, myelograms, arthrograms, etc.)
• Proficient in additional imaging modalities such as CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Mammography, or Nuclear Medicine
• Ability to assess patient pain and communicate with physicians/nurses as needed
• Knowledge of medical and surgical aseptic procedures
• Ability to maintain safety standards and hospital policies
• Weekend availability required (Saturday and Sunday, 7am - 7pm), plus either Monday or Friday
• Some on-call duties required

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety during imaging procedures and minimize hazards such as electric shock, burns, and radiation exposure
• Prepare and instruct patients for radiographic and fluoroscopic exams
• Select appropriate equipment and positioning for imaging procedures
• Handle imaging equipment and images safely and accurately
• Maintain proficiency in additional imaging modalities
• Assist in training students and ancillary personnel
• Maintain records and reports related to imaging procedures
• Interact professionally with patients and their families
• Complete all assigned work before leaving, including coordination with nursing staff
• Adhere to fire, safety, and hospital regulations

Experience
