Job Opportunity: House Supervisor (RN) – California

Position Overview

Seeking an experienced House Supervisor for a travel assignment in California. This role involves managing hospital staffing, bed assignments, collaborating with charge nurses, responding to patient complaints, and coordinating with administration and specialty teams during off hours.

City: Santa Cruz, California

Contract Length

13 weeks

Work Schedule

Night shifts, 12 hours per shift
36 hours per week
Coverage is 24/7 with 8-hour shifts
Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
Holidays: Work integrated into permanent staff rotation

Required Qualifications

Active California RN license
Minimum 2 years of experience as a House Supervisor
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
COVID-19 vaccination required (with certification)

Orientation & Environment

Floor-specific orientation: 2-3 shifts
Electronic Medical Record system: Cerner
Hospitalist or Intensivist available 24/7
Respiratory Therapy and Pharmacy services available 24/7
IV team available during the day

Additional Information

Scrub color: Navy
Role includes floating responsibilities as needed
Patient types and diagnoses vary by unit
Shift from 6 PM to 6 AM, every other weekend first to float
