Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Schedule

• Day shift
• 10 hours per day, 40 hours per week
• Start time: 6:30 AM
• Most likely Monday through Thursday, with flexibility based on staffing and case volume

Unit Details

• Cardiovascular operating room
• 9 suites, including 1 dedicated cardiac suite

Required Qualifications

• Valid CVOR Technologist license in Colorado
• CVOR Technologist experience within the last year
• 2 years of CVOR Technologist experience
• BLS
• CST or NBSTSA certification
• 2 years of operating room experience
• Certified Surgical Technologist experience

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub for CABG, open heart, mitral valve replacement, DaVinci cardiac, and mitral clips
• Float to the cath lab for TAVRs
• Float to sterile processing to assist with sterile processing tasks
• Pull cases, gather instruments, turn over rooms, and assist with break relief
• Float to the main OR

Call Requirements

• Weeknight call: 2–3 weeknights in a 6-week rotation, 11 PM to 7 AM
• Weekend call: Friday 7 PM through Monday 7 AM in 12-hour increments
• Holiday call: rotation-based coverage as needed
• Call response time: 30 minutes

Orientation

• Orientation length depends on experience and ranges from 3 days to 2 weeks

Additional Notes

• Call rooms are available
• Scrub color/dress code is provided
• First-time travelers are accepted if they have at least 2 years of operating room experience
• A positive attitude, teamwork, and flexibility with facility flow and protocols are emphasized
