Travel contract for an experienced MedSurg/Tele nurse.

• MedSurg/Tele 5 (Surgical Tele)
• 47 beds

Required Qualifications

• 2 full years of experience
• Active BLS
• Active ACLS
• Active CA License

Preferred Qualifications

• NIHSS

Schedule

• 12-hour nights
• Every other weekend

Clinical Details

• Telemetry patients: 1:4
• MedSurg patients: 1:5
• Charge nurse has no patient assignment
• Nurse aides are on the unit
• Telemetry is available
• Nurse’s read strips
• Drips include Heparin and Blood
• Vents are not used; bipap and cpap may be used at night
• Hospitalist or intensivist in house
• RT 24/7
• Pharmacy 24/7

Floating

• MedSurg 6
• Tele 7, within skill set
• Rehab

Orientation

• 1 shift with a preceptor

Patient Population

• Post-op surgical patients not requiring a higher level of care
• Bariatrics
• Ortho
• Spine
• General tele patients
