Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Location

Omaha, Nebraska

Contract Length

13 weeks

Schedule

Day shift
8-hour shifts
Monday to Friday
Start time may vary based on preferences and staffing
No call

Assignment Details

Includes both department and mobile work
12 hours of non-billable orientation
Guaranteed hours do not apply during orientation
Client may call off up to 36 hours every 13 weeks
Local candidates are not accepted; 100-mile radius restriction

Required Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited nuclear medicine program
Current certification by NMTCB and/or ARRT
Active AHA BLS certification
Knowledge of computers interfaced with gamma cameras
Knowledge of radioactive materials, doses, and flood sources
Experience with patient monitoring and other ancillary patient and radiation safety equipment
Ability to work with radioactive material in a safe manner

Preferred Qualifications

Prior clinical experience
Ability to effectively handle patients and families in all age groups
Good communication and personal skills
Knowledge of nuclear medicine gamma cameras, stationary and portable, from varying manufacturers

Additional Notes

PET experience is required
No limited license is necessary for PET/CT attenuation correction; this is for attenuation only, not diagnostic
