Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) - Home Health

Location: Rancho Cordova, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days
Hours: 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week

Job Setting

• Work setting: Home Health in the greater Sacramento county area
• Typical caseload: 5-6 patients per day
• Patient diagnoses include cardio, pulmonary, orthopedic, neurological, and geriatric conditions

Required Qualifications

• BLS (AHA) certification
• Physical Therapy Assistant license valid for California
• Two supervisory references required at submission:

  • One within the past 12 months
  • One within the past 3 years
• New graduates accepted only in extreme cases (less than 6 months experience)
• Candidates must not have been employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any facility associated with the specified health system within the past year; PRN employment through outside firms is acceptable

Additional Information

• Mileage reimbursement follows GSA guidelines and begins after departing the first patient visit (travel from housing to first visit is not reimbursed)
• Mileage must be documented on personal timesheets and signed by home health supervisors
• Meetings occur twice monthly for timesheet approvals; alternatively, signed copies can be emailed to supervisors for approval

Experience

• No explicit minimum years of experience stated beyond new grad consideration; higher experience preferred but not strictly required
• No prior travel experience required for this position
