Cath Lab Tech Opportunity

Job Details

• Contract Length: 16 weeks
• Certifications Required:

  • ARRT
  • Fluoroscopy
  • BLS
• Experience:

  • Must have current cath lab experience
  • Comfortable with conscious & moderate sedation, procedural processes, airway management
  • Experience with cardiac drips (e.g., Integrilin, dopamine, vasopressors) and balloon pumps

Job Description

• Cases are performed with 2 techs:

  • 1 tech scrubs in
  • 1 tech monitors hemodynamics and other parameters
• RN provides conscious sedation
• Occasionally a 4th person (RN or tech) may assist depending on the case
• A Lead Tech manages room assignments

Skills & Procedures

• STEMI receiving facility
• Cardiac/Coronary, vascular, peripheral, general IR, and neuro intervention

Facility & Workload

• 5 suites/labs:

  • 2 suites primarily for coronary cases
  • 1 suite for peripheral cases
  • 1 suite for vascular & neuro cases
  • 1 suite for EP cases
• Average cases per day: 10-22

Call & Scheduling

• Rotate call for inpatient and emergent cases approximately 1x/week
• Weekend call approximately 1 weekend per month (Friday evening through Monday morning)
• Shifts are 10 or 12 hours, every other weekend (EOW)
• May be first to float as needed

• No first-time travelers accepted
• Agency provides traveler with radiation badge
