Nursing House Supervisor

Job Description

The House Supervisor serves as the onsite administrative representative for clinical and managerial functions during off-shifts, weekends, and holidays. This role provides leadership, consultation, and collaboration in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment and acts as the primary backup for front managers in their absence. Responsibilities include:

• Planning, leading, coordinating, and facilitating quality care and service from a hospital-wide, shift-specific perspective
• Addressing staffing issues, patient/family relations, risk management, clinical coordination, patient placement, public affairs, and communications
• Evaluating and mentoring staff
• Ensuring appropriate distribution and allocation of supplies and equipment
• Providing adequate numbers and mix of staff to deliver appropriate clinical services

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Vermont
• Minimum 1 year of House Supervisor experience within the last year
• Current ACLS certification
• Current BLS certification
• Current PALS certification
• Current NRP certification
• ENPC certification
• TNCC certification
• STABLE certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
