Job Opportunity: LDRP Registered Nurse (RN) - Rotating Shift
Location: Vail, Colorado
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Provide care for antepartum patients, laboring patients through childbirth, recovery, and postpartum.
- Offer lactation education and assistance.
- Deliver family-centered care including care for well newborns and Level 2 Nursery patients.
- Collaborate with providers, staff, and team members to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Schedule
- Rotating shifts
- 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each
- Guaranteed 24 hours per week
- Start Date: ASAP
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience required.
- License: Registered Nurse license in Colorado or from a valid compact state.
- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Education: Minimum Associate Nursing Degree (for hires after 07/01/2018).
- Other:
- Computer skills necessary to complete online learning and job-specific competencies (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
- Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking).

3 12’s, not a lot of call. Easy surgical procedures, hospital provided housing (will have roommates). Beautiful landscape.
Cons
Cost of living. I-70 closes down a lot during winter. Staff drama. Some doctors are rude and condescending. Favoritism. Travelers will be sent into rooms so they can send full time staff home early.
