Job Opportunity: Cardiopulmonary Therapist (Contract)

Location: Hilo, Hawaii
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 15 weeks

Job Description

• Provide continuous airway management including ventilator and non-invasive ventilator management and support.
• Perform physician consulting, CPR, and all aspects of respiratory care.
• Care for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patient populations.
• Utilize equipment such as computerized charting systems, Pyxis medication management, PB 980 and PB 840 ventilators, V60, and Para Pac Transport Vent.
• Night shift schedule: 1830 to 0700, three 12-hour shifts weekly (36 hours). No guarantee of hours.

Requirements

• Licensure/Certifications:

  • State of Hawaii Respiratory Therapy License (must have by start of assignment)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • RRT and NRP preferred
• Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in cardiopulmonary/respiratory therapy.
  • No first assignments (prior travel experience required).
• Additional:

  • Proof of flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exception required before contract start. Flu vaccination can be administered during employee health clearance appointment.
  • Must arrive the Thursday before start date for employee health appointment on Friday.

• Prior travel experience is required for this assignment.
• Must be able to work night shifts as specified.
