Ultrasound Technologist (Diagnostic Imaging) - Contract

Location: Yuma, Colorado
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day Shift, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30/5:00 pm
Hours per Week: 36
Call/Weekend/Holiday: No call, no weekends, no holidays

Job Description

• Perform independent ultrasound general exams including Abdomen, OB, GYN, Breast, and Vascular/Arterial studies.
• Evaluate, synthesize, and communicate diagnostic information to referring physicians and radiologists.
• Ensure patient safety and well-being within the Imaging Department.
• Troubleshoot ultrasound equipment and coordinate repairs with service engineers.
• Perform general diagnostic radiology procedures.
• Willingness to cross-train in other imaging modalities.
• Organize daily work schedule and perform related clerical duties such as patient scheduling.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients and healthcare team members.
• Follow established departmental procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist, including experience within the last year.
• Current ARRT and ARDMS certifications.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Experience as an OB/GYN Sonographer.
• Experience as a Breast Sonographer.
• Experience as a Vascular Sonographer.
