Orthopedic Technician, Sr

Location: Houston, Texas
Employment Type: Clinical Allied Registry
Contract Length: 14 weeks
Shift: Varies (7:30 AM–4:00 PM, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM, or 9:00 AM–5:30 PM)
Hours: 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week

Job Description

• Provide casting and medical assistance to licensed providers during scheduled clinic visits and emergency center patient care.
• Apply casts, splints, and perform basic hardware maintenance.
• Assist patients and families with all aspects of care, including education on cast maintenance and skin care after cast removal.
• Complete documentation accurately and timely according to departmental standards.
• Communicate effectively and timely with the orthopedic team.
• Manage casting and clinic supplies, including updating PAR levels and checking exam room supplies daily.
• Operate personal computers and basic clinic/patient care office equipment proficiently.
• Demonstrate quick decision-making, self-initiated work behaviors, and excellent customer service skills.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED certificate.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as an Orthopedic Technologist.
• Orthopedic Technologist experience within the last year.
• Proficient in casting techniques.
