Clinical Nurse II - Neonatal Float Team

• Neonatal float team covering NICU, Intermediate Care Nursery, and SCN Sequoia (Redwood City)

Schedule

• Days
• 12-hour shifts
• 36 hours per week

Contract Length

• 15 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid California RN license
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• 3 years of float experience
• Float experience within the last year
• Experience working with neonate patients
• NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience
• Proficiency with clinical equipment, computers, and technology used in the nursing setting
• Ability to guide, assist, and direct unlicensed assistive personnel as defined by California Nurse Practice Act and/or organizational policies and procedures

Required Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) through the American Heart Association
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) through the American Academy of Pediatrics

Role Summary

• RN role providing independent patient care and coordinating care with the inter-professional team
• Patients may range in age from infancy to adult
