Clinical Nurse II - Neonatal Float Team
Location
- Palo Alto, California
Specialty / Unit
- Neonatal float team covering NICU, Intermediate Care Nursery, and SCN Sequoia (Redwood City)
Schedule
- Days
- 12-hour shifts
- 36 hours per week
Contract Length
- 15 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid California RN license
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- 3 years of float experience
- Float experience within the last year
- Experience working with neonate patients
- NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience
- Proficiency with clinical equipment, computers, and technology used in the nursing setting
- Ability to guide, assist, and direct unlicensed assistive personnel as defined by California Nurse Practice Act and/or organizational policies and procedures
Required Certifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) through the American Heart Association
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) through the American Academy of Pediatrics

- RN role providing independent patient care and coordinating care with the inter-professional team
- Patients may range in age from infancy to adult
- Focus includes patient- and family-centered care, evidence-based practice, safety, quality improvement, teamwork, technology/informatics, professionalism, and leadership
