Physical Therapist Assistant - California (Stockton)

Job Summary

• Assist Physical Therapist in providing restorative and rehabilitative physical therapy services to frail and elderly participants both at the center and in participants' homes.
• Implement treatment plans established by the Physical Therapist, including muscle re-education, balance, endurance, and activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Collaborate with rehabilitation team members and communicate participant progress and changes.
• Provide training to staff, participants, and caregivers on therapeutic equipment use and care.
• Manage scheduling of treatments, clinical visits, and billing.
• Maintain and track therapeutic equipment.
• Participate in end-of-life care coordination under supervision.
• Complete all required documentation, trainings, and health screenings timely.
• Adhere to privacy, confidentiality, and company policies.

Work Schedule

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• On-site 3 days per week; 2 days off-site (includes mobile visits to participant homes for treatments, durable medical equipment setup/training, and some telehealth)
• Occasional additional on-site days as needed
• Responsibilities include scheduling recurring appointments for PTs and OTs and maintaining the rehab gym

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapy Assistant license in California
• Minimum 2 years of Physical Therapist Assistant experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience working with geriatric patients
