Float Team RN position on a Medical-Surgical Float Team with 12-hour shifts (Day and Night rotations).
Shifts: 12-hour day (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) and 12-hour night (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM). Note: Some shifts may vary (e.g., 3 PM – 11:30 PM or 11 PM – 7:30 AM).
Floating within skillset to various units including observation, cardiac, medical, surgical, ortho/neuro, inpatient rehab, and transitional care units. Typically assigned to 1-2 units but may float to others as needed.
Weekend and holiday rotation: every other weekend and holiday.
No on-call or call-back requirements.
Charting experience with Epic strongly preferred within the past 2 years.
Nurse-to-patient ratios:
- Day shift: 1:4
- PM shift: 1:4 or 1:5
- Night shift: 1:6, occasionally 1:7

Contractors must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility.
Guaranteed minimum 36 hours per week, up to 48 hours; overtime paid after 48 hours.
Orientation includes an 8-hour unbillable period.
Candidates must start the medical portion of compliance within 48 hours of offer acceptance (24 hours for quick start).
Professionalism expected: no bright colors or character prints in scrub attire.
Desired qualities: strong work ethic, time management skills, resilience, adaptability, and social engagement.
