Job Description

As a Non-oncology Infusion Nurse, you will be responsible for:

• Patient assessment
• Venous access
• Mixing medications
• Infusing medications

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio
• Minimum of 1 year of infusion experience, with infusion experience within the last year
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Health and Safety Requirements

• COVID-19 Vaccine: Preferred but not required; medical or religious exemptions accepted
• MMR: Positive titers within last 15 years required; booster protocol applies if low titer
• Varicella: Positive titers within last 15 years required; booster protocol applies if low titer
• Hepatitis B: Proof of full series or partial series with signed declination accepted; positive titers within 15 years accepted
• Tdap: Vaccination within last 10 years required; no declinations accepted
• Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Oct-Mar) or must complete masking and declination forms
• Tuberculosis Testing: 2-step PPD or IGRA within last 6 months required annually; if positive, clear chest X-ray and current TB questionnaire required
• Fit Test: Completed within 1 year of start and updated annually (specific mask models required)
• Physical Exam: Pre-employment physical exam within 1 year stating ability to work without restrictions

Background and Verification Requirements

• Criminal Background Check: Within 6 months of start, including social security trace and national sex offender search
• Ohio Fingerprints: Required for Ohio residents (BCI&I and FBI checks depending on residency duration)
• Employment Verification: Verification of employment within last 5 years through third-party
• Education Verification: Highest level of education verified through third-party; equivalency required for international education
• I-9 Attestation: Proof of eligibility to work required
• OIG Search, SAM/EPLS/GSA/OFAC Screening: Must be completed within 6 months prior to start
• Drug Screen: 10-panel drug screen within 60 days of start; instant drug screens not accepted
• Driver’s License/State ID: Non-expired photo ID required

Competency and Skills

• Skills Checklist: Clinical skills checklist completed within 1 year prior to start (one-time requirement)
• Competency Exam: Must score at least 80% on relevant department exam within 1 year prior to start
• Core Competencies: Must complete HIPAA, Joint Commission-NPSG, OSHA topics with 80% passing score within 1 year prior to start
• Safety and Compliance Training: Completion of required safety modules prior to clearance; annual renewal required
