Job Opportunity: RN Post Partum/OB/Labor & Delivery (Night Shift)

Location: Grayling, Michigan
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: Nights, 6:15 PM – 6:45 AM
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holidays: Rotating
• On-Call: No
• Overtime: Available after 40 hours (not guaranteed)
• Dress Code: Scrubs of any color

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Michigan
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum of 1 year of Post Partum experience, including experience within the last year
• OB experience, including OB/GYN
• Labor & Delivery experience
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• AWHONN/Fetal Heart Monitoring certification

Health and Compliance Requirements

• Proof of vaccination or positive titer for:

  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR)
  • Varicella (proof of vaccination or positive titer; history not accepted)
• Influenza vaccine required during flu season (Nov 1 – Apr 30); no declinations accepted except approved medical/religious exemptions
• Tuberculosis testing: Negative T-spot or QuantiFERON within last 6 months OR two-step skin test within last 6 months; if positive, chest X-ray and screening questionnaire required
• Fit for Duty health statement completed within 1 year of start date
• Drug screen results within 90 days prior to start

Additional Requirements

• Core competency exams including OSHA & Joint Commission compliance
• Skill-specific competencies and self-assessment checklist
• Professional documentation including:

  • Resume and skills checklist
  • Minimum of 2 professional references from managers, supervisors, or charge nurses (attestations not accepted)
  • Verification of education, employment (last 2 years), and licensure through third-party or agency verification
  • Criminal background check (7-year national, including aliases, sex offender, and FACIS Level 3) within 90 days
  • OIG, OFAC, and National Sex Offender searches within 90 days
  • Completed I-9 form and emergency contact information
• Valid driver’s license or state ID
• Social Security card and verification

Experience

• Prior OB nursing experience required
• No explicit requirement for prior travel experience indicated
