Med Surg/Telemetry (Nights)

Overview

• Temp Registered Nurse (RN) role in Glens Falls, New York
• 13-week assignment
• Nights, 12-hour shifts
• Remote Tele Unit
• Unit has 16 beds
• Patient population: Adult - Geriatric
• RN to patient ratio: 4:1
• Mainly tele/cardiac patients

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New York
• Med Surg / Telemetry (3 years of experience)
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Driver's License
• MUST be able to comfortably follow the Department expectations to interpret, measure & document cardiac rhythms 2x/shift
• Experience with Epic

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous travel experience
• Neuro/stroke experience

Other Notes

• COVID vaccinations are encouraged, but not required
• No block scheduling will be considered
• No more than 5 days of requested time off will be accepted
• Facility can cancel up to 5 shifts per 13-week contract with 2 hours notice
• Non-billable orientation: 8 hours
• Personal scrubs of any color are allowed, but no designs, cartoons, or hoodies
• Travelers from Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, or Washington counties in New York will not be considered
