Job Opportunity: Temporary Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg (Nights)
Location: Madison, Wisconsin
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
As a member of the interdisciplinary team, the traveler will provide and manage patient care within the medical-surgical unit. The role may require floating within the same discipline across local campuses.
- Work Schedule: 36-40 hours per week, with overtime billable after 40 hours
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system: EPIC
- Night shift (NBO): 16 hours
- Must be comfortable caring for neuro and surgical patients within the Med Surg unit
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license for Wisconsin
- Minimum 2 years of Med Surg RN experience
- At least 1 prior travel contract completed (prior travel experience required)
- BLS certification
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Valid Driver’s License
- Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission
- License verification and copy of required certifications
- Work history/resume
- One supervisory reference required at time of submission
- Must have a taxable address outside of 50 miles from the facility (local candidates accepted with rate adjustment)
Additional Information
- Orientation dates available starting from March through November 2026
- OT/Holiday and call-back pay multipliers apply (details available upon request)
This position is ideal for experienced Med Surg RNs who have prior travel experience and are comfortable working night shifts in a dynamic hospital environment.
