Job Opportunity: Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)

Job Description

• Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with cognitive and/or physical functioning disorders under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to support clinical interventions.
• Administer procedures including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of supportive and assistive devices.
• Assess patient progress and communicate with supervising Occupational Therapist to adjust treatments accordingly.
• Report treatment outcomes and provide consultation to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers.
• Document all required clinical and regulatory information accurately in electronic systems.
• Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, rehabilitation meetings, and required trainings.
• Support and supervise students under the guidance of the Occupational Therapist.
• Adhere to NBCOT, AOTA, and State practice acts, codes of conduct, and ethics.
• Maintain active state licensure/registration as applicable.

Requirements

• Specialty: Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of OTA experience required (higher value from description).
• Setting Experience: Long Term Care (LTC) or Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience required.
• Licensure: Valid OTA license required.
• New Graduates: Accepted if Level II experience is completed (not just Level I observation).
• Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

• Day shift
• 8-hour shifts
• Participation in required meetings and trainings
• Ability to work collaboratively with supervising Occupational Therapist and healthcare team
