Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse with a minimum of 3 years of specialty experience. First-time travelers are accepted.

- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Overtime: Paid after 48 hours (effective 10/30/2025)
- Break Between Assignments: 6 months break required after 4 consecutive assignments or 1 year of work, whichever comes first
- Minimum Assignment Length: 10 weeks for new contracts and extensions
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico (pending licenses accepted)
- Minimum 3 years of Operating Room (OR) Circulate experience, including experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
Facility & Work Environment
- Level I Trauma Center
- Teaching hospital with pediatric services
- Acute care, short-term stay
- 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio in OR
- Purple scrubs provided
- Charting system: Cerner
- Free parking
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Background checks including 7-year criminal history, education verification, fingerprinting (done onsite during orientation), and federal exclusions checks required
- Physical exam within 1 year prior to start
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- Drug screening within 30 days of start (instant drug screens not accepted)
- Annual TB questionnaire required
- Immunizations required:
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: 2 vaccines or positive titer
- Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer (history of disease not accepted)
- Hepatitis B: Declination, series, or titer acceptable
- Flu vaccine required year-round with exemptions allowed
- Fit mask testing required within 1 year of start (specific mask types accepted)
- Orientation includes safety manual acknowledgement and competency exams (medication, dysrhythmia/EKG)
- Pass/fail testing on basic dysrhythmia exam required with two attempts allowed
- Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) certification may be required depending on unit

- Must complete a work history verification of at least 3 years
- References: Two professional references within the last 3 years required
- Employment application with at least 3 years of work history required
- On-call shifts require 24-36 hours per month, details discussed with leadership

Prior Travel Experience
- Prior travel experience is not required for this position.
