We're looking for a Pediatric Registered Respiratory Therapist (Peds-RRT) for an immediate travel position opening in Marrero, LA. The right Peds-RRT must have 1 year of recent acute care experience. Read below for additional requirements. As a Peds-RRT, you will provide direct patient care to patients in a variety of clinical areas, including evaluations and treatments according to procedural guidelines. As a Peds-RRT, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:<ul>  <li>Administer to patients a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities.</li>  <li>Maintains appropriate patient records/documentation.</li>  <li>Cleans, disinfects, assembles, calibrates, maintains respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories. Evaluates equipment for proper and safe function. Reports malfunctions to director.</li>  <li>Performs arterial puncture and analyzes sample according to procedure guidelines.</li> <li>Interacts with co-workers, nurses, physicians, other hospital personnel to optimize continuum of care for patient being treated.</li>  <li>Responds to emergent situations that could require Respiratory support.</li> </ul>Peds-RRTs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. Peds-RRTs should be able to easily lift 20 pounds. Moving or lifting of patients may require lifting of up to 50 pounds at times. Peds-RRTs must have specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must have 1 year of experience. Must have NBRC-RRT, BLS, and ACLS. PALS and NRP may be required in some areas. Requirements*: BLS, PALS, ACLS, NRP, RRT, 2 Years * Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
