Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Endoscopy

Location: Tracy, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Perform routine nursing assignments and develop competence through structured work.
  • Accountable for assessment, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care.
  • Provide direct patient care, patient/family education, and manage transitions of care.
  • Deliver holistic, individualized care considering psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare providers through effective communication.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in California.
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
  • Minimum 2 years of endoscopy experience, with endoscopy experience within the last year.
  • Experience in ambulatory surgery.
  • Current certifications issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross in ACLS, BLS, and PALS.
  • Certifications in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC).
  • Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification.
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
  • Experience with Epic electronic health record system.

Background and Compliance Requirements

  • 7-year background check including SSN trace, county searches, sex offender, and education verification.
  • FACIS Level 3 screening required within 2 weeks of start and monthly thereafter.
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required and updated annually.
  • Education verification required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
  • Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start (excluding marijuana due to CA law).
  • TB screening: Negative QGold or TSPOT within 90 days of start, renewed annually.
  • Immunizations and titers required: TDAP, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella.
  • Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season (Nov-April) or approved declination.
  • Physical exam required within 1 year of start.
  • Fit mask test required within 1 year of start, renewed annually.
  • Respiratory safety clearance required prior to start and renewed annually.

Certifications & Competencies

  • BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA or ARC only).
  • Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) as applicable.
  • Critical Care RN (CCRN) certification may be required depending on position.
  • Medication and pharmacology competency exams as applicable.
  • Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) and Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) training may be required or completed onsite.

Additional Requirements

  • Complete facility-specific documents including standards of business conduct, code of conduct, vendor training, and regulatory orientation prior to start.
  • Employment application must include full 7 years of work history with no gaps.
  • Professional references required (2 for clinical roles).
  • Skills checklist and work history verification required and must be renewed annually.
  • Completion of Epic questionnaire (for RNs) required starting November 2025.

  • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
