Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology

Location: Dallas, Texas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Call, weekends, and holidays required as needed.
  • Local travel radius within 90 miles.

Required Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of Interventional Radiology (IR) experience.

Required Licenses & Certifications

  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
  • Texas state license for Radiology in hand.

Required Qualifications & Compliance

  • Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Texas.
  • Minimum 1 year of Interventional Radiology Technologist experience within the last year.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification.

Competency & Testing Requirements

  • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (minimum 80% score, two attempts allowed).
  • Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (two attempts allowed; required for IR specialty).
  • Pass/fail testing required for all RNs and Cath Lab Techs.
  • Acknowledgement of pass/fail testing policy required.

Additional Certifications (as applicable)

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) may be required depending on unit.
  • Other certifications such as PALS, NRP, TNCC, EFM, and trauma care courses may be required depending on assignment but are not specifically required for this IR role.

References

  • Two professional references within the last 3 years required.
