Job Description

• Weekend Requirement: Yes, rotating schedule

Required Qualifications

• Must hold a current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license
• ICU experience required
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required

Certifications (may be required depending on unit)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – may be required for certain pediatric units
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) – may be required for NICU/PICU
• Other certifications may be required based on specific unit assignments

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID matching candidate documentation
• Background check within 6 months covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start
• Drug screening within 30 days of start (10-panel or expanded panel depending on hire date)
• Immunizations and health documents including:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (recent testing required)
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or titer proof
  • Hepatitis B series, titer, or declination
  • Varicella vaccination or titer proof
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption/declination (required during flu season)
• Physical exam documentation (within 12 months)
• Annual competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency testing

Additional Notes

• Must provide 7 years of work history with no gaps longer than 30 days
• Must complete required competency exams annually with a minimum passing score of 80%
• Employee appearance policy and other facility-specific policies must be acknowledged prior to start

This position is ideal for experienced Respiratory Therapists with ICU background seeking a travel contract in a hospital setting with rotating weekend shifts.
