Job Opportunity: Nuclear Medicine Tech

Location: Saint Joseph, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday
Schedule: No call, no holidays, no weekends

Job Description

Position requires a Nuclear Medicine Technologist license.
Cardiovascular nuclear medicine experience is helpful but not required.
Operating Room (OR) experience is highly preferred.

Required Qualifications

Nuclear Medicine Technologist license.
Minimum of 1 year of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience, including experience within the last year.
Must meet all state licensure requirements for Missouri.
Background checks including national and state criminal checks, sex offender registry, and federal exclusions.
Education verification with official transcripts or diplomas.
Primary source verification of certifications and licenses within 30 days of start.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or ARC).
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (AHA only, RQI acceptable).
Other certifications as applicable to the specialty and facility requirements.
Physical exam within the last 12 months.
Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 1 year, with follow-up protocols for positive results.
Required immunizations or documented immunity/declinations for:
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B
- Varicella
- Seasonal Flu vaccine (or approved medical/religious exemption)
Drug screening within 30 days of start.
Fit testing completed onsite.
Completion of facility-specific orientation, safety manuals, and competency exams including dysrhythmia/EKG testing as applicable.
Professional references (2) within 3 years.
Verification of recent work history and employment application required.

Additional Information

Onsite fit testing and AVADE training may be required if extending beyond initial contract.
Facility requires acknowledgment and signing of confidentiality agreements, code of conduct, and other facility-specific documents.
Basic Dysrhythmia exam and medication/pharmacology competency exams required as applicable.
No prior travel experience explicitly required for this position.

Experience

Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology (Nuclear Medicine)
OR experience highly preferred.
Cardiovascular nuclear medicine experience is a plus but not mandatory.
