Job Opportunity: Dietitian

Location: Atlanta, Georgia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • No weekend requirements
  • 8-hour shifts with flexible start time between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM
  • 30-minute lunch break
  • Must be a licensed Registered Dietitian (RD) able to practice in Georgia
  • Pediatric experience with Enteral Nutrition (EN) and Medical Nutrition Therapy is required
  • Minimum of 6 months pediatric experience required (preferably at a children’s hospital)
  • Candidates without pediatric experience will not be considered

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) license in Georgia
  • At least 6 months (0.5 years) of experience as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist
  • Experience as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist within the last year
  • Experience working with pediatric patients

Certifications & Competencies

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA preferred)
  • Pediatric Pharmacology competency exam required for nursing staff (if applicable)

Background & Compliance Requirements

  • Background check within 30 days of start (including SSN trace, statewide, county, nationwide, sex offender checks)
  • Employment verification and I-9 documentation required
  • Government-issued photo ID required and must be carried during hours of service
  • Drug testing: 10-panel plus nicotine/cotinine test within 60 days of start
  • Physical exam required within 1 year of start (not required to be updated annually)
  • Fit mask (N95) test required within 12 months of start
  • Immunizations and titers required:
    • Tdap vaccine (no declinations accepted)
    • Negative TB test (Qgold or Tspot within 3 months) or chest X-ray if positive TB history
    • Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella: positive titer or vaccination series with boosters as needed
    • Hepatitis B: proof of positive titer or declination
  • Seasonal flu vaccination mandatory for the current season (no exemptions)

Additional Requirements

  • Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations
  • Completed employment application/resume
  • Skills checklist updated annually (if applicable)
  • Signed confidentiality and security agreement prior to start
  • OSHA, HIPAA, and Joint Commission annual training or attestation required
