NICU Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Job - Hickory, North Carolina

Location: Hickory, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights, 3x12 hour shifts with option to flex to a 4th shift if needed; overtime after 48 hours
Schedule: Minimum every other weekend (Friday-Saturday-Sunday)
Unit: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Level III and/or Level IV
EMR System: Meditech (experience preferred)

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in North Carolina
Minimum 2 years of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) nursing experience, with experience within the last year
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
STABLE certification
NURSYS verification for RN, LPN/LVN, or AP license
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Required Documentation & Compliance

Proof of I9 or attestation
Government issued photo ID (must be carried during hours of service)
Proof of E-Verify or attestation
Background check: 7-year criminal check within one year of start, updated annually; must include all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
Education verification of highest degree/diploma (official transcript or diploma may be required)
NURSYS verification for RN license (must be current within 30 days of start)
Physical exam within 1 year, attesting ability to meet physical demands
Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (updated annually)
Immunizations or titers for:
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B
- Varicella
9-panel drug screen within 12 months (instant acceptable)
Flu vaccination required during flu season (Oct 1 - Apr 1) or approved exemption
Proof of 2 clinical references (hospital evaluations accepted)
Skills checklist updated annually for applicable unit

Additional Information

Blocked schedule requests will be considered
Must include current NURSYS report with application
Candidates must bring hard copies of all health documents on first day
