NICU Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Job - Hickory, North Carolina
Job Details
- Location: Hickory, North Carolina
- Employment Type: Travel/Contract
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Nights, 3x12 hour shifts with option to flex to a 4th shift if needed; overtime after 48 hours
- Schedule: Minimum every other weekend (Friday-Saturday-Sunday)
- Unit: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Level III and/or Level IV
- EMR System: Meditech (experience preferred)
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in North Carolina
- Minimum 2 years of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) nursing experience, with experience within the last year
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- STABLE certification
- NURSYS verification for RN, LPN/LVN, or AP license
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Proof of I9 or attestation
- Government issued photo ID (must be carried during hours of service)
- Proof of E-Verify or attestation
- Background check: 7-year criminal check within one year of start, updated annually; must include all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
- Education verification of highest degree/diploma (official transcript or diploma may be required)
- NURSYS verification for RN license (must be current within 30 days of start)
- Physical exam within 1 year, attesting ability to meet physical demands
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (updated annually)
- Immunizations or titers for:
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B
- Varicella
- 9-panel drug screen within 12 months (instant acceptable)
- Flu vaccination required during flu season (Oct 1 - Apr 1) or approved exemption
- Proof of 2 clinical references (hospital evaluations accepted)
- Skills checklist updated annually for applicable unit
Additional Information
- Blocked schedule requests will be considered
- Must include current NURSYS report with application
- Candidates must bring hard copies of all health documents on first day
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
